I hadn’t realised that about 11 E200EVs are still out of service since last year. Does anyone know where they are and what the issue is with them? One of them was repainted.

Only one i know the location of is 64108 (the UV one) and its somewhere in Sheffield.

First Bus has announced that it will take over the running of two express services providing connectivity between Cumbernauld and Glasgow.
From Easter Sunday (5 April) the X25 and X25A will be run by First Bus with the operator reassuring regular users that there will be no interruption to services, which until then will continue to be provided by Stagecoach.
Graeme Macfarlan, Commercial Director of First Bus in Scotland, said: “We are pleased to be taking on the operation of these express services and look forward to welcoming new customers to enjoy the high quality journey experience we deliver.
“This will be a seamless change for customers and we simply advise everyone to check the new timetable before travelling.”
The routes of the X25/X25A will remain unchanged. These are:

• X25: Abronhill – South Carbrain – Kildrum – Cumbernauld Town Centre – Glasgow (Express) (Evening services also serve Mollinsburn and Condorrat)
• X25A: Abronhill – South Carbrain – Kildrum – North Carbrain – Glasgow (Express)

Graeme Macfarlan added: “This investment expands our services into more communities outside of Glasgow and is further evidence of our ability to build a sustainable bus network in the Strathclyde region.”
The new timetable will differ slightly but with buses continuing to run from early morning until late and every 15 minutes during the main daytime period. Evening and Sunday services will continue to operate every 30 minutes.
“We’re ensuring continuity for passengers with no gap in provision, “ said Graeme Macfarlan. “Handled correctly, this demonstrates that services work well in the commercial market and that customers benefit from rapid, operator‑led solutions.”

Take it Stagecoach are pulling out, Wonder if the X19 will be affected in any way, seems mad them Buying Cumbernauld depot to not operate the main bus in the Town itself

The X19 is the main bus in Easterhouse so it must rake in a fair bit for it to be staying, after that it's the 41 that's always a busy bus

Bet First would love to get their hands on the Easterhouse leg of the X19 – always busy. Not sure they would want to run to the QE Hospital – maybe leave it to McGills. It’ll be interesting to see what – if anything – happens with the X19.

Would Imagine they'll need to get buses from somewhere for it, they have a massive Decker shortage and the Gemini's are dropping like flies, They're even fixing ones that are done to keep things ticking over, Rumors that E400EVs will be ordered as part of the ScotZEB 3 funding, Could well be more Streetdeck Newpowers making their way up here since all the ones that are intended for here aren't all here yet

The irony that Stagecoach ousted First out of Cumbernauld back in the 2010’s only for Stagecoach to pull the plug in the 2020’s. Could make it up.

It's happened many times; First had an outstation in Go Ahead's Plymouth depot for a number of years, Arriva moved their Newcastle ops into Stagecoach's Bykergate depot for a few months are ones off the top of my head.

But at least you won’t have drivers starting early shifts in Cumbernauld and finishing in the city centre and vice versa with late shifts like they do just now. That will save a lots of costs.

Last I saw all the E400MMCs were accounted for as going to First West of England. Glasgow isn’t planned to get any.

There is no indication that the Cumbernauld depot will be bought by First. It could certainly work but provided the X25/A goes to Caley North rather than another depot there will be space for ten-ish extra buses to operate there. The new E400EVs will likely operate alongside Geminis for a while as I have been told the Geminis are "not going anywhere" for now, which suggests Aberdeen's ones will eventually migrate back to Glasgow as well.

The Eastern Scottish and United depots in Berwick were separated by an internal dividing wall. Eastern Scottish occupied one depot, United occupied the other.

First Lowland did though share premises with Arriva Northumbria at Scremerston, just outside Berwick, for a few years at the turn of the millennium.

In terms of other stock when a depot closes yep it is hardly anything, Still a decker shortage after all the investment
