I came across this recently, seems that Birmingham Busworks have put up an ad seeking 35 buses for a large client, I don't suppose that this may be related as I can't think of anyone else struggling at the moment?

Euro 6 is a requirement so it did make me think of First Glasgow. You might be seeing quite a lot of variation soon if true. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=615197108120101&set=a.104090272564123

Can't see FirstBus going through there for buses when they literally own a bus dealer..!

63272 is a 65 plate Stree⁸tlite it's the newest bus they'll have just now, Dumbarton's never had the newest fleet in general anyway newest they had was 14 plate Streetlites, Caley's always had the newest for obvious reasons it being the main depot for the City
Dumbarton got the first fleet of Ez300s in 2012, 62 plates giving them a new fleet

Perhaps when Lanarkshire goes electric it may release some E200MMCs to modernise the fleet. With a good refurb the current E300s would be fine for another few years before they begin to retire.

Saw online that 33262 is scrapped. Does anyone know why? It’s been off for ages but seems way too new to be at the point of disposal.

33262 is showing as SORN on DVLA.

They already had a chance with E200MMCs, remember the Ex-Aberdeen batch that ran for a short time at Dumbarton?

Apparently the drivers at Dumbarton hated them, and they got quickly moved to the Lanarkshire depots for like a week or two before getting transferred down to Bristol & Bath.

I would love to think it was them, but no, I don't see it being possible, why would a Birmingham company take on FGLA as a client? And as has been mentioned previously, First are more than capable of sorting this out themselves. Furthermore, some of the 200EVs are already back on the road like 64119 and 64120, which are 9/9A branded.

This is false information from a bustimes user who has been making spam edits for ages and causing mods grief. He posted on FB that 33262 was "officially" scrapped to try and make his edits look genuine, but Jared W has confirmed that it is still in Caledonia.

Birmingham Busworks is a national organisation doing bus and coach sales as well as modifications and other works so don't worry about the geography.

However, I'd be surprised if it were First.

Oops that's a Streetdevck EV if it's here. Could be a demo for the 500 maybe.

Perhaps Dumbarton will just go electric

70101 is actually here and sees work on the 31 with ADL/BYD E400City demo 38400 - LC71EFD.
70101 apparently restriction to 31 to limit the number of Drivers required to be trained on the type and 38400 limited to 31 & 500 as that's the only destinations programmed.

Next Gen ADL EV400 38600 - FB74ZEB is alleged to be transferring to Glasgow today - guess we'll wait and see with that one.

That would certainly surprise me, who is sitting on it heading for Carmunnock!
Staff app made a wee mistake there. 70101 is on the 31 as usual today and seems to be stuck with that route.
Even more obscure if it tracks as 37200 it is on a 60A heading to Milngavie.
70101 stopped tracking as 37200 a few days ago, and 37200 is actually back in service tracking as itself.

I’m sure 38600 was always due up anyway for trialing. I wonder if 33693 will join its sister batches in Aberdeen in exchange for another low height E400?

Took the 31 yesterday to see if any of the loan buses were on it. I got the 1156 departure from Carmunnock and it was the demo E400ev which smelt new for a 71 plate bus.
The Streetdeck headed the opposite way at Mt Florida, I tried to get it at Osborne Street later in the afternoon but either I miscalculated the trip or it was swapped. The streetdeck operated the service after I was on heading back to Carmunnock and I got the demo again.

With a departure every 40-mins it's easy to end up on the "wrong" working if you miscalculate!

I had to double check there but what happened to the timetables. Take the 31 for example, its used to be every 3O minutes. Not anymore, its all different times from the terminus points.

I suspect the journey time no longer allows for a bus to make a round trip in fewer than 60 minutes, Therefore the frequency is now every 40 minutes or thereabouts.
It's these "AI" created timetables that First use.

That seems quite possible, since Glasgow need the E400s back for the 6 and other Scoutstoun routes.

33693 was due to transfer to Essex when the Streetdeck conversions enter service at Leicester, plans do change though!

That will be it. I thought for less frequent routes they would stick to consistent departure times and AI was for the turn up and go stuff.
