No it was definitely an “LK51 UXX” bus and it had First’s interior. It was in all over orange. Looked like it could be on school duties.
Both LK51 UZG and LK51 UZJ have been reported by the PSVC as acquired by Wright, Moodiesburn 8/19 who operate from Kirkintilloch.

I recall these buses being new and operating on the 240 then they were transferred to Scotstoun and most went to Cymru. Sad to see 05 plate stock go when there’s still 51 plates about.

They were a bit different to the r reg ones .

Only 42885 and 42887 left at Overtown now. 42886 has had all destination equipment removed which normally suggests it’s being scrapped.

Anyone know when the electric buses will start to appear on the M3? Been on 2 this week that have still been the old buses and was wondering when we would see them

I wouldn’t be too surprised First repaired an ALX400 which was smashed up in the crash on Union Street.

Probably because it'll be easier to repair a bus with a smashed front than a completely melted one. Also, looking at the short video and subsequent photos the fire appears to be contained to top deck so that rules out exhaust problems. It's more likely to be electrical or quite possibly arson.

This photo shows the panel I'm talking about(the blue one) - https://flic.kr/p/U3Gbve

More pictures are appearing on Twitter which shows only the top deck engulfed. Is there anything electrical upstairs apart from the Next Stop Displays?

It's possibly 34388 that's had the disaster...

AFAIK there is a panel on at the top of the stairs opposite the near-side seats that contains a lot of the electrical systems, it ones one of the design features of the MMC to make accessing the electrical system easier IIRC so it could be electrical.

however the back of the upstairs was completely gone before the front was even alight
