I think the one will get new stock next year, with the current stock be sent away. I doubt there would refurbish the current stock.

When was this as was in earlier today and never spotted it.

Are you sure they are new and that the current ones haven't been branded ?

Did you get a pic? :)

I did consider it could be the E200MMCs that have been on the 2 but it looked like a smaller bus plus it had moved to a different part of the depot when I past again later in the afternoon. I could be wrong however but it did look new.

Yeah could be new as they are due. Have asked in the first glasgow bus group to see what it is.

Sad to see a B10BLE scrapped. This particular bus was on the 2 last year https://goo.gl/images/ngUXYr (not my image).

Rather odd that they’re scrapping 43855. Wasn’t really worth the drive away up here but surely something mechanical must justify it.

Why is 33372 up for scrap? Was it in a RTA? I wonder if there are plans to cascade the ALX400s from Glasgow given that they’re being relivered into Olympia?

61709 was recently on the 46 and 64 as of a couple of weeks ago. I've never been a fan of the B10BLE's so kind of glad they are starting to slowly disappear.

Y307 RTD was on the 2 on Thursday again, quite rare... Also seen it on the 19,64,46,41,31, and 60a during its short life at Caledonia, shame it's scrapped, was a great bus, only thing wrong with it was some seats at the back were quite bouncy :)

But B10s are getting old and some aren't doing too well in theyre age and I suppose MMCs aren't too bad...

Been updated.
Y302 RTD 61706 scrapped not 61709.

No one seems to have seen pink branded vehicles at caley

The info I have is that they will be delivered to Blantyre depot.
That's what I would have thought. Same as the 241s.

Only other thing it must have been is the 65s mistakenly noticed as pink due to the light. Definitely no reports of pink branded vehicles at Caley

Got to wonder which Glasgow routes can justify brand new buses and which will have to make do with conversions to Euro6. The 1, 2 and 3 must be candidates for new stock – but that would be about 80 or 90 buses alone. Maybe the 88 and 89 for new deckers – don’t see them that often, but they seem busy. The 4 (44) used to always get the best stock, but it seems much quieter than it used to be and can end up with any old tat – especially the peak extras. But that leaves routes like the 9 or 57 with high PVRs needing new stock. It’s a hell of a job for First. Even the most unloved routes like the 21, 31 and 263 will need *something* that meets the LEZ.

3 would be good some cascaded geminis .The 4 is busy at peaks but quiet off peak , noticed some singles . Wouldnt suprise me that the section to Newton Mearns is withdrawn.

Maybe the 21 and 31 will get cascaded B9TLS just when LEZ kicks in when new buses in the future come . 31 , may not even be around then

The 4 used to be really busy if I recall. It had E500s on it when they were here and always got the newest stock alongside the 75. Then they started to cut it back and in recent years it tends to only be busy during peak times. Strange how some routes can go from being busy to just slowly getting quieter. I thought the 4 and 5 would have been contenders for new buses given the 65 plate E400MMCs were robbed from them in favour of express services. In my opinion I’d swap refurbished B9TLs with the E400MMCs for Express services then put them back on the 4 and 5 routes.
