There does seem to be a lack of planning towards First running Saturday services across the country though... Overcrowding in Glasgow, Manchester and Bristol is leading to people waiting for multiple buses to pass before being able to squeeze onto a service, and the buses have 'too many passengers' according to a Bristol driver which is making them run late. People across twitter are complaining about buses not turning up and being late and overcrowded because of the Saturday service. Someof this is because people haven't thought to check, because pretty much every other operator in the UK is back to normal service this week...Yeah - we know - you don't like First
How much of the public in glasgow do you think share the same aversion?Yeah - we know - you don't like First
Around 4% of passengers according to the most recent TransportFocus survey. How much of the public in glasgow do you think share the same aversion?
And if the survey was done on Glasgows estimated 1 million people population as opposed to the minor amount of passengers FiG carry in comparison, I think the results would be stark to be fair if done as a population, many left using the buses are those that have absolutely no choice, those who are getting a blue card for free travel or those who have decided that the extra cost in return for more convenient private car ownership.Around 4% of passengers according to the most recent TransportFocus survey.
I fail to see how anyone except for regular bus users can comment on how a bus operator that they never use is to travel with. It's the opinions of regular users that show how bus operators are doing, not people who don't use the bus, it's the same as anything - if you don't know about it, how can you comment? The TransportFocus survey says that 4% of those who use the bus are dissatisfied. As I've said, people who don't use the buses don't even know how the buses are so how is their opinion on the matter valid? And if the survey was done on Glasgows estimated 1 million people population as opposed to the minor amount of passengers FiG carry in comparison, I think the results would be stark to be fair if done as a population, many left using the buses are those that have absolutely no choice, those who are getting a blue card for free travel or those who have decided that the extra cost in return for more convenient private car ownership.
Of course most people are back to work as normal now, there really should've been a normal service in glasgow today, these are the exact ineptitudes of FiG and by extension the group as a whole that are Ieaving, shall we say alot of people with a bad taste in there mouth.
I would like to see the 60 upgraded as it’s seems to have a lot of older Eclipses which were new to the route years ago on it, but seem to have returned.
The 38 is another route which could be doing with upgrading as it seems to get anything flung on it.
The 1 could be doing with new buses as it is a very busy routes on the network and was the first route to receive the new enviros back in 2012 which was now nearly 7 years ago! The 2 is the exact same. It received new E200MMCs not too long ago but it would be nice to see the newer E200s or something more heavy duty like B8RLEs on the route to keep it fresh thus allowing the older 62-13 plates to cascade elsewhere.

E400s would be able to operate the Airdrie 2...Id love to see deckers on the 2 , no reason why not . Extension to airdrie can be a different number eg 262!
Shift the E400s of the 4 , why they on this route?
E400s would be able to operate the Airdrie 2...
How are these surveys conducted? What number of passengers were surveys? and exactly how many of the other 96% are truthfully happy? I wouldn't believe what a loose surveys produced.I fail to see how anyone except for regular bus users can comment on how a bus operator that they never use is to travel with. If you can, don't take it personally.I'm actually starting to loathe them. I've had my fair share of run in's with down right rude drivers and when I've challenged them, they don't like it.

That's not my experience. I have to say the majority of bus drivers are very good irrespective of the operator they're employed with. There's always some who aren't just like in any industry. The good guys outweigh the bad.
Lets be fair here, Route 2 is only still running because it had "Undertakings/Scotrail controls" place on it. The route is dire and is just mash up for 3 different routes which should have been given the chops years ago. It used to be every 20mins, its now every 30mins.
Back in the late 90s
213: Glasgow - Parkhead - Glasgow road - Bargeddie estate - Coatbridge - Airdrie - Petersburn
262: Glasgow - Parkhead - Glasgow road - Kirkwood - Coatbridge - Airdrie - Petersburn
Around 2002
213: Glasgow - Parkhead - Glasgow road - Bargeddie estate
262: every 12-15mins?
By 2006? it was back to every 20mins but with 261 to give Kirkwood a 10min service.
Remember 2010?? 262 went Caldercruix.
