Thanks to the English gentleman who is spendinga few days in Glasgow for his assistance in the identification of 64108.

All these single decks are BYD D9UR/Alexander-Dennis Enviro200EVs and have 40 seats.

I seen one on the 6A last winter. Only one ive seen in service.

iirc they were getting diesel conversions but haven’t seen anything about them in a while or even where they are actually stored? Surely with them needing more Euro 6 stock now would be a good time to get them back into service

Shunter crashed an E400MMC into the electric bus whilst doing the shunt. Quite badly damaged from what I’ve been told.

I’m surprised to hear that these buses will be getting a second lease of life. I didn’t think many other subsidiaries would want 15 year old buses.

Maybe 2 other First brands, Midland Bluebird & Scotland East, because they have taken so many of Glasgow’s old buses for a long time, starting back in 2011 with them getting most of the old Olympians that they kept until 2015, then sometim around in 2014-ish, they got some of our T-Plated Plaxton Presidents to join with their own Presidents (also T & V Plates), and some of our V, W, & X plated Plaxton Presidents joined in around 2015/16, maybe a few also joined in 2017. In return over the years, we actually got 2 or 3 Scania Solars sometime between 2013 & 2015, and recently most of their B9TL Wright Geminis & around 10 Enviro 400MMCs.

My bad, I thought happened that because of the way you had worded it, because in my mind, I thought that the people delivering the bus had damaged it.

Yes Midland Bluebird is a brand of Scotland East

The X4 and 6 see them constantly these days but I've noticed when I've been out on weekends that the 90 gets them too. Seen a bus branded for the 2 on a 77 a couple of weeks back too which I found amusing considering the 2 has been getting 77 branded buses occasionally too as there's been more double deckers on the 2.

I watched Good Morning Britain today and they said that driver shortages for First Glasgow have gotten worse and some routes are not running today as such.

That was part of the STV News bulletin this morning. Seems to be Blantryre that has been affected the most and the said East Kilbride and Hamilton routes were the most impacted.

Service 21 is moving to Caledonia to try and help the situation which shows no sign of improving.

How has the rest of the depots been in comparison to Blantyre? Through the social media especially it's the only one really mentioned. It would good on the website at least if info about all depots and cancelled services were updated.

That's what I've seen too on Twitter and Facebook. I've also seen a lot of blame for management in Blantyre too being a big reason for drivers leaving. It is a bit of a mess to be fair.

The only way I see it being fixed too is a frequency cut to different services to cover a small wage rise across the board.

Not quite - I think you mean Strathclyde instead of Clydeside, but there are still two operating companies, with First Glasgow No.2 being the former Kelvin Central.

Yes. As said before, they are replacing the 9 branded RLEs which are going to another opco and not scrap.

Given that it's now been mentioned in the media a couple of times that there are changes coming in multiple areas including Glasgow, is there any date for timetable changes confirmed anywhere yet?

COP26 road closures will cause significant impact... Clydeside Expressway from near Beith Street (Partick) to Anderston will be closed for 3 weeks, with alternative routes listed as Crow Rd/Anniesland X/Gt. Western Rd/Byres Rd/ Dumbarton Rd etc.. For anyone who knows these busy roads I think we can expect gridlock at various/most parts of the day which cause horrible reliability problems on the 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 etc plus some south side routes will be impacted too. I think the advice will be avoid the West End entirely if possible or use local rail or the subway! COP26 will likely have a knock on effect onto the M8 which could result in further congestion out towards M80/77/74 etc which may further impact on other bus services too.
