Have your stage 2 emails offered you invites to attend the assessment centre or are they just informing you that you have passed and they will be in touch shortly?
I passes stage 1 in Oct under the new process. I was on the first courses to under go this process. I did get offered selection dates to attend the stage 2 during Dec, but couldn't attend the dates on offer. So they said they would be doing stage 2 in the new year (which I guess would be this month or feb at the latest)

I did my stage 1 in september in Bristol, had an email saying stage 2 in the new year, but others from stage 1 have done stage 2 and had their interviews. I presume that i am not going to hear from FGW now!

I don't think we will get any email, ithink they have already taken who they wanted. Should tell us really rather than keep people hanging around.

Keep the faith Casey Jones125 it will arrive. SkinnyDave is right they have courses to fill. The e mail will come I only did stage 1 in December and there were still Stage 1 dates to be completed in January so I defo reckon the end of January or beginning of February.

The lady I had in Reading, stated that:

There we no fixed dates but she would expect them to be at the beginning of February at the earliest - for stage 2 that is.
and
People would hear whether or not they was successful (those who did stage 1 in December) by the end of the 1st week in January.

I passed Stage 1 (the new tests). For Stage 2 my assessments were the old style tests. Unfortunately I failed the CBI, I only received the feedback a couple of weeks ago. I failed 2 out of the 6 questions. 1. Emergency situations. 2. Rules and Procedures. I must have given 4 or 5 different answers for the rules and procedures questions. Good that I passed most of the questions but frustrating I could not pass those two. Not sure what happens now, I'm assuming I will have to do all of Stage 2 again with the new assessments. Emails to the first team suggest I will have to do Stage 1 again but as I passed the new style tests for that one I don't see the point. Also my CBI interview lasted 2 hours yes 2 hours and I still couldn't pass it. Is the new stage 2 interview a similar process?

To all those currently in the process, have faith. I applied online mid way through September when there weren't even any advertised vacancies. I have just received my contract and terms of employment. I start in February :) Sometimes its quick, sometimes its slow but the rewards are worth it in the end.

Good luck to everyone :)

Well done!
Did you apply for speculative vacancy? I did.
However in my case I'm still waiting for stage 2 results. ...
When was your stage 1 assessment?

I emailed HR on Monday asking about my results.
They got back to me today saying I passed stage 2 assessment.
I am absolutely over the moon. However no dates for DM interview have been offered yet.
Have you heard anything about your DMI ?

Anyone else starting in Bristol on April 7th?

Was told on the phone when the conditional offer was made that I'd be starting on that date in Bristol, although nothing in writing yet.

Had my medical on Tuesday this week which was all fine subject to drug test results. Quite an in depth medical but interesting none the less!

DM interview - booked!
Has anyone had his recently or going to have in nearest future?
Any last minute advice will be greatly appreciated.
I thought it will be one person (DM) interviewing, at the depot. Although it turned out there is an interviewing panel (4 persons) and it will be held in the hotel.

Different to mine then. I had a Driver Manager and a Comp manager and mine was in a small office in the sheds at SPM. Very informal and over with within 30mins.

I suppose it did help that I knew the guys! ;)

During morning routine email check - totally unexpected.
My only concern is that interviewing panel. The names were given as well, looks like there will be four ladies interviewing, 2 from FGW and 2 from Workcomms.

Hey mate. If you PM me the names, I'll give you a little insight into what to expect from them if you want?
