This Sunday there are replacement buses between Blackwater and Reading and as yet they still aren't loaded in any journey planner. The revised trains onwards from Blackwater are in but fGW customer services claim we just have to wait as they have no more information and their controllers are too busy to help! Interestingly the fGW journey planner currently gives the first option as Guildford dep 0657 arriving at 0923 into Reading via Woking then via Heathrow using the two Rail Air buses and all for £7.40 return!!! I asked if that was being allowed(!) and they said no despite it being in their own journey planner and despite the fact he couldn't offer any alternative. This is REALLY bad as it offers many bizarre routings all day until the trains start running and so how many people are gonna use these routes due to no other information being given!

It is bad, and it is what I have found often happens with engineering work. The online journey planners are often not up to date and can't be relied on, though that isn't much help in this situation for travellers who are not in the know!

On 1446 Salisbury to Portsmouth train that usually runs to Brighton but is diverted. This train was retimed recently at the last minute to sit in Eastleigh for 20 minutes as a result it now arrives at Cosham at 1601 and the fGW replacement bus leaves at 1556!!!!!!! fGW control cannot do anything about it apparently and so now the many on onboard for the brighton line have to go via fratton and use the all stations southern bus to Chichester instead...cue very unhappy train. Guard did try everything he could but to no avail.
