My commutate to work takes me past Brush Traction (on a bus!), so I have seen this PC a few times, both pre-painting (showing evidence of its former Virgin livery) and more recently with exhaust being emitted, presumably during an engine test. Didn't think it would be long before it left...

BTW, does anybody know why there is an FGW buffet car at Brush?

Out of curiosity where do you commute to/from?

Loughborough to East Leake... If only the GCML hadn't closed!

Back on topic, I saw the PC (I'm assuming it's the right one, the bus doesn't come close enough to read the number), moving under its own power this morning...

So whats getting done to the coaches?
Can't wait to see a HST in the new livery!

New paint job including new logos, internal refurbishment - probably just an internal "refresh" because most of them are fine how they are, and exams done on bogies etc...

Really ? Then why is there a 5Z43 1352 LOUGHBOROUGH - KILMARNOCK in the system for today then ??

Indeed back to back all the way!!
Shame I hadn't know sooner that they were moving that way or else I would definately have been off to Carlisle a detour via Northallerton would have been appreciated (NR take note) ;)

Superb Power Unit.....MTU. Hoping it will help GC get into the "black" in the future and power their move toward profit.
Good riddance to the Valenta...

Paint job is being wrapped up at Kilmarnock and the set should be heading South when things are ready in the not too distant future.

Are they all becoming 43/4s or are they simply having 400 added to the number? Because if it's the latter then 123 would become 523.

Having 400 added to the number. Hmm, hadn't thought about 43123; it would become the only 435XX numbered power car. Wonder if GC will renumber it 43423 instead just to fit the sub-class.

why are they having 400 added to the number, and not 200 like all the others?
