... 80104 Crashes at a level crossing after Harmans Cross into a Coach http://www.bbc.co.uk/southtoday/

Having sold tickets in the Booking Office throughout the morning, come lunchtime i had to refund them all! Improvising announcements etc it was mad!

So dont run the risk in a coach, it just doesnt work!

See, now you know why you're normally safely locked away from the outside world Nathan. It's for our own good ;)

Had my first run along the Swanage Railway last week, was staying on holiday in Poole. As i only live in Kent i think i will be catching the train and frequenting this lovely little line a little more.

On a more serious note, what twerp tries to out run a train at a level crossing in a coach? I think the next words that driver hears will be "your fired!".

Karl :)

Make your announcements as authentic as possible - I'm sorry to announce that this service has been cancelled 'due to an incident on the line between Swanage and Norden'!

Vague, basic, and uninforming is the key :) I think I'm the only person who does announcements who actually apologises properly!

"We're sorry to announce that the 10 46 Virgin Voyager service to Manchester Piccadilly is delayed by, approximately, 12 minutes. This is due to a ... numpty on the line at ... Beaulieu Road."

Tipping out trains today at Bomo was a huge farce as most were running behind late running Vomits due to a bridge strike at NCL.

Had great fun in the signal box!

*strong Yorkshire accent* A full tickit inspection, will now take play-ece...

God that second 185 woman annoys me, why couldn't they have picked someone with a standard English voice. It's going to be very confusing getting on the train at Glasgow Central going to Carlisle and getting half of the announcements in a strong Yorkshire accent
