First Class with a Day Rover?

I am looking at doing a big day out by rail in East Anglia with the Anglia Plus Day Rover, and am going to be using The Norwich to Liverpool street service as far as Ipswich and would like to do a bit of first class traveling, but need to know the following:

1) Is the Anglia Plus Day Rover Valid in first class
2) If not, is it possible to upgrade
3) Can I do this on the train or should it be done before boarding?

No, yes but only at weekends (AFAIAA)... Weekend First is £7 I believe, per single journey - this can be done onboard. I wouldn't say it's worth it IMO.

I'm certain that there used to be First Class versions of the Anglia Plus Rovers, or are they only for the 3 / 7 day options? Unless they were removed in January, my guide is from 2012 and I can't find any reference to First Class online...

This site seems to suggest it is only available with the option of 1st class if purchased as a 7 day ticket

The First Class option is indeed only available with the Anglia Plus season ticket, which is only available in Weekly, Monthly or Annual varieties.
