First class upgrade East Coast

Hope you are all well.

I just have a couple of questions that i would be grateful to have answers to if anyone could help me.

OK here goes:-

I am traveling from NNG to KGX tomorrow (Saturday 9th of July.)

I am planning on buying a off peak day return with railcard (16-25 railcard), which comes to £26.65.

I would prefer to travel First class.

So my first question is:- Can i upgrade a off peak day return discounted with a railcard to First class for the weekend upgrade price of £25 one way.

If not do i have to pay the difference to a standard off peak day return then the £25 one way upgrade.

The second question is is the guard able to upgrade my return from KGX to NNG on the NNG to KGX service, or do i have to wait until i catch the service from KGX to NNG.

The final question:- with this weekend upgrade am i allowed into the First class lounge or does a weekend upgrade not permit that.

No. East Coast's Weekend First supplement for Newark - London is £20 per single journey.

No. You can pay £20 per single journey.

You have to wait. Weekend First cannot be booked at stations, nor issued in advance on EC trains for any other EC trains.

East Coast Weekend First tickets include the option to purchase access to East Coast First class lounges at the destination station only for a supplement fee of £5·00 per person per visit.
