So I just noticed that the trains from Peterborough are no longer run by FCC! Anyone have the skinny on why FCC got the boot from that that line?

FCC lost the Thameslink Great Northern franchise to GoVia, who now operate the franchise. The name of the franchise is "Govia Thameslink Railway", but they've split it into Great Northern (services into King's X) and Thameslink (self-explanatory). The Southern franchise (also Govia-owned) will pass under GTR's umbrella next July, creating the TSGN super-franchise. The "Southern" brand will remain as is.

Nothing much. Just good ol' franchising.
