First Avanti trip for 9 months!

Manchester - Euston. Right now!

Pleasantly surprised! On time, in fact I'm on one 20' earlier than anticipated as my connection arrived on time, leaving 7 mins to cross platforms.

On a newly refurbed one, my carriage is less than half full. Nice temperature, only complaint is the headrests are too big and make me feel enclosed.

WiFi works, shop's open, have a brew in a minute!

What can possibly go wrong....(back when it does... )!

It was fine both ways! Only complaint is standing around at Euston (very little seating) waiting for the platform to be announced. Yes, Realtimetrains told me in advance, but you still can't get to the train even though it's there, as it's being prepared.
