First assessment day (Northern)

Hi all,

I'm doing this next Tuesday. Does anyone know how long the new split assessment days last? I've re-read my info and it says the 1st assessment is only Group Bordon, TRP part 1, TRP part 2 and TEA-Occ. That can't be a full days worth?

Second question, if you totally fluffed the first test would you be sent home, or would you do all the tests before you're told? For a paper group bordon test I guess it takes a while to mark them all. How many people are usually on these assessments?

Finally, is the interview (conducted by Northern staff), officially a part of the assessment? As in, if I pass every test strongly but fail the interview, does that count as one of your two lives? Similarly, if I passed it all but for some reason did not get a job offer, would my pass count for other TOC's?

My stage 1 lasted for 3 hrs.

You go through all exercises on the day. It takes some time to mark the answers so you will need to wait for the results.
The OPC will advise on the day.

When I had mine there were about 16 people. One sent home due to lack of NI proof.

That's interesting as the e-mail only asked for a photo ID but at the interview I had to produce a payslip for NI proof. I'll take one just to be sure.

Mine was with FGW, so perhaps you will not need it.
The way I see it is better to take 10 documents too many than forget the one which is crucial.

Anyone have any answers or part answers to the rest of the queries? Particularly interested in how the interview effects the assessment.

I took the whole lot,birth certificate,drivers license etc,all I had to do was write down my NI number on one of the forms,didnt have to show anybody anything,like you say though best to be prepared!
