First: 10 single tickets from £18 using app

If you download the First Bus mTickets app for Android or iOS, you can get a carnet of 10 single tickets for the following areas:

Aberdeen £19.50
West Yorkshire £18.00
Glasgow City £18.00
Glasgow Local £18.00
Glasgow Network £23.00
Greater Manchester £18.00
Portsmouth £20.00
Southampton £18.00
Reading to Heathrow RailAir £120.00

Given that First's single fares are typically upwards of £3, being able to get a single for effectively £1.80 could be useful for many people, especially those who only need one bus a day (because, for example, they get a lift the other way).

There are also packs of 10 FirstDays for Portsmouth, Southampton and the whole of Hampshire.

You can also get single and return tickets for the Glasgow Airport shuttle and Heathrow RailAir on the app.

The usual FirstDay, FirstWeek and FirstMonth tickets are available using the app. From what I can tell, they are at the normal price. But at least you don't have to have change for the bus and you can pay by credit card (and therefore get rewards/cashback from that card).

It's a shame that Wyvern, one of the trial areas seems to have been excluded from this roll out! Still no use to me on the 144 when I'm down here!

To be fair, there is already a paper 10 journey ticket, but it'd be better to be able to use my phone!

I had a look at this as I would be tempted to use it for the saving on single fares around Bradford.

However they are only valid for 90 days so I doubt I would use them in time. No sure about getting a day ticket on one as my phone battery life isn't that great.

I realise that condition 3.7 says it must be used within ninety days, but that contradicts the description of the 10 journey ticket in some areas which says you have to use the 10 journeys within 12 months.

That's so odd I would reckon that is an unintentional omission from the app. Perhaps a tweet or email to First would fix it.

Unfortunately it's not, they have said they will look to add it to the app at a later date...
