West Midlands Railway are reporting disruption due to an earlier fire on a train in Wolverhampton:

Problem:

Following a fire on a train at Wolverhampton the line is now open.

Impact:

Train services running through this station may be cancelled or delayed. Disruption is expected to last until around 18:00 today (07 June).

Anyone know any more about this? Which service was involved / what type of unit?

Obviously, there's a lot of new traction going through Wolves at the moment both on the Shrewsbury service and also under testing, as well as TfW sending through knackered old dogboxes and suchlike...

Is everyone ok?
Everyone is ok, no injuries.
Believed to be an engine or traction motor fire underneath train which has been extinguished.
Looking at moving train overnight back to central Rivers.

Looks like it wasn't possible to move it overnight as it was still sat on platform 3 this morning, coupled to a 221 which I guess has been sent to rescue it. It sounded like some engines were running - but it was rough as anything. Platform 3 & 4 were closed when I left.
