A couple of weeks ago I saw 70010 run light through Rugby. I managed to take a couple of pictures of it. Having uploaded them onto my pc it looks distinctly like flames are visible amongst the smoke as it accelerated southbound. It wasn't something I spotted with the naked eye but was wondering if anyone knows if it has recently suffered fire damage or my picture shows an optical illusion.

Unburnt fuel in the exhaust perhaps??

I've never noticed it on the modern stuff, like 60s, 66s 70s etc, but living next to the line most of my life, regularly saw flames shooting out of the exhaust ports of classes 24/25/40/47s the 40s seemed the most common with flames around 2ft long shooting out of the four ports when powering up the bank on a heavy freight.
