Must have been pretty serious to need that amount of resource to resolve. Given the proximity to Acton Town station I think it was the right decision to curtail the service in the area.

Trains eventually started operating at 00.25, although eastbound trains were already empty and approaching signals were failing anyway!
Westbound trains were released and sent to depots, the last running through Acton at 02.20.
Platform 4 remained out of use until 10.00 on Wednesday after the retaining wall had been checked by structural engineers. A 10mph restriction still applies for pfm.4
