Evening All
Having used FIP several times, I am still unsure of how to work out the appropriate FIP fare.
I am looking at travelling from London to Vienna via Cologne using First Class:-
London to Brussels is £76 return
Brussels to Cologne is 46 Standard, 73.10 First so if I have this right it would be 50.10 single so 100.20 return.(50% Std + Difference between Std and 1st)
Cologne to Vienna is 154.20 Standard, 253.20 First so using the same method would come to 176.10 which again doubled for the return is 352.20
Meaning the whole trip using FIP would be 452.40 (£397.05) plus £76 giving a grand total of £473.05.
If I have this right then frankly its FAR cheaper to use public fares on the continent, even in First.
I am hoping I have this badly wrong, if I am what is the formula to work out FIP fares?
Cheers for any help
