Previously bookings on the Eurostar using FIP reduced rates card were made through Deutsche Bahn. Excellent efficient service.

Bookings now have to be made through international rail. I've rang the number and am told someone will contact me when they are free. I've also filled out the booking form at bookmyrst.com. its been 2 weeks now and I have had no response. I also have a colleague who has been waiting over 3 weeks for a response.

Has anyone had any successful dealings with international rail booking Eurostar travel with a FIP reduced rates card or can anyone suggest alternative booking options.

Thanks.

The RSTL website indicates that you should be able to book at any Eurostar station, are you close to one?

...leisure travel may also be booked directly at any Eurostar station.

I don't know. I'd have to get the train down to London Euston then make the short walk down to st pancreas.

How would I go about booking Eurostar tickets with my FIP card through ffestiniog ?

Email them at info@ffestiniogtravel.co.uk They are very efficient, will quote you a price and payment options - I used bank transfer, for which they will email you their bank details on request and it's very quick. I've just booked with them for a trip in a fortnight's time and gone from enquiry to completion of the transaction (tickets will be in the post tonight) in around three hours. They include a small cover charge but it's worth it.

Yes you can.

It depends on availability but it is possible if the train is not full.

I done this in June when I showed up at the last minute around midday for ES 9132 (12h58 St Pancras - Brussel), got booked into Standard Premier and escorted to gate though the Business Premier fast-track security control by a very friendly and helpful Eurostar lady.

Bear in mind that if you are safeguarded staff, cheaper fares (e.g., £46 return in standard) are available at Eurostar stations - see this thread:

I believe that some agents (though possibly not International Rail) can also sell these fares - but as they might charge a booking fee that rather defeats the object.

Thanks all, I managed to get a standard premier return as that was all that was available, although had to wait a few hours, booked my return also for standard premier and cost me just over £100, better than full price anyway.
