Finding work within the Rail industry

Hi all,

I'm due to be made redundant soon, and would like my career to move into the rail industry. I'd like to know if there's any particular agencies that can help or websites to keep an eye on? (I do check TOC websites & Network Rail's website most days.)

Is there a specialist site for signalling jobs, or is it a case of keep checking Network Rail's vacancies?

I'm nearly 30, and my background is office based - so admin, credit control, before becoming an analyst with experience in customer insight. I've also done customer service in contact centres.

I have an open mind about what role I'd like to do next, so would consider anything customer facing on the stations, signalling, or remaining within the office - just want it to be within the railways.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Is an analyst style role what you wish to do or are you looking to spend more time our and about? There's a wide range of analyst based roles within a TOC covering customer experience, revenue, performance, finance etc

Where are you based?

Due to a promotion, c2c may be looking for a new Customer Incite Manager very shortly.

I've got an open mind Simon, will consider remaining as an analyst or doing something different such as customer facing or signalling (currently reading up about working as a signaller on the Network rail website).

I'm based in Burton-on-Trent, so have TOC's in Derby and Birmingham that aren't too far from me.
