Finding out about events before they happen

I want to go to events such as station openings, anniversaries, last/first services , etc but I only ever seem to find out about them after it's already happened. What's the best website/place on this forum to monitor to find out about these events. Also is there any good rss/webhooks/email feeds I can subscribe too.
