I'm curious as to what happened with a train I was on yesterday, and one I was supposednto connect to but didn't as I bailed out of the first early at Derby and took a different route to Lincoln.
I've seen people discuss delay reasons on here and thought they was from real time trainw but it doesn't seem to show delay reasons.
I was on 1E63 last night and planning to change at Sheffield to 2P57. We were delayed leaving Burton by a disruptive passenger, this made my connection at Sheffield look marginal, and I also needed time to buy a drink as there was no catering on the train and nothing open at Bristol Parkway where I joined having traveled from Bridgend.
We were 17 minutes late arriving at Derby and instead of a sharp departure there was lots of faffing going on, so I bailed out, got a drink from a vending machine and caught a train to Nottingham and then to Lincoln arriving about half an hour after I would have done on the original plan.
I can see that 1E63 actually lost more time en route to Sheffield, arriving 2054, 1 minute after my planned connection was due to depart. It then seems to have sat there for half an hour and departed 49 late but lost even more time arriving Doncaster 60 late.
Meanwhile 2P57 itself was 49 minutes late leaving Sheffield and actually got to Lincoln just about the time I was getting into my hotel bed. Seems it was delayed by 100 minutes at Doncaster on the incoming service.
