Thats it, all gone. It regularly past my house too, well it still will, but in EMT colours. Oh, i'm talking about 153326 by the way. So did you love RR livery or loath it?

Wasn't it technically in Provincial livery? ;) One of the best liveries out there in my mind.

It was a respectible livery, and looked proffesional, though I did like the new looks when the private TOCs came in (GNER was good), possibly now they are going OTT with corporate colours (especially First Group).

I took a picture of 153311 last year when, along with 326, it was with One Railway.

Amazing how clean the livery was still looking good despite being many years older than some units which have only been painted in the last few years and look very scruffy.

 I'll update the fleet list  seemed a bit odd as they only recently put EMT branding on it! Idiots...

I'd heard from somewhere that a Northern 156 was going to be repainted in to it as part of something to do with the NRM?

Pardon them for wanting their trains in their own livery...

you didn't really read what I said, I said they recently branded that train, why waste time putting vynils on it to then repaint it soon after? I didn't say I didn't want them to paint them in their own colours

It's an OK livery in my opinion.

If it was applied these days, it would look too outdated.

Amazingly basic and just one line.
These days it's all swirls, bubbles, circles and swivles.

Here's the last RR 153, with the cab in RR, and the rest in unbranded EMT livery. Bombardier or whoever's repainting it must have run out of yellow!!!

I hope they actually cleaned the train before painting it, I mean, you should see the state of 222017 already!

It looked like it was primed as the ends were grey!!
222017 looks alright, they took the buffet door vynil to replace with "this is not for public use" vynil

You mean "I hope they actually cleaned the train before wrapping the vinyl around it cos glue doesn't tend to like sticking to dirt, I mean, you should see the state of 222017 already!"? ;)

But yes, it is a real shame it's lost its Provincial/Reggie Rail colours. Great livery IMO.

That RR livery was put on good, it was BR after all. This 153 was in Canton (2006)for repainting from the orange HOW livery. They rubbed all the later livery off but the RR still clung on good.

no, I mean one of the doors which was red has already peeled off and the door is grey as it was in MML livery

Yh, EMT Peeled it off to replace with a 'not for public use' door vynil so it didn't look out of place with the other 222s.

Why doesn't any company use paint? Vynils just look cheap, Paint just gives it that extra something.
