However, we were discussing the differences between public and private property, and how one member here claimed there was such thing as a "public space" in private property. Unfortunately, your TfL link has nothing to do with that particular subject.

Ummmm - "Transport for London (TfL) said that all commuters on the Underground were considered to be in a public area, making photographing them legal."

So, if I can't insist a fellow passenger doesn't film or record me, on the grounds that the inside of the train is a public space,surely that applies to a passenger filming a member of staff.

You are missing the point. A poster previously said that there was a difference between a public space and public property. That is what we were discussing. There is no such thing as a public space on private property.

If you are not going to bother to read my posts then I am not going to bother to reply to you. I suggest you read the whole thread for yourself, it has all been discussed before.

i have read the whole thread, that is the point, it is said on here you can't film, yet TfL come out and say there network is "public space" what's the difference between TfL and NR?

It is an interesting claim they make, and one that will need detailed research. However, the LU network is private property, so they control photography - so in this case it seems that they have decided they do not wish to restrict it. I suspect that this may come back and haunt them.
