Afternoon, I recently saw an old movie from the 1970's I believe about a nut who is being chased across Britain. The train is toward the end and has the fellow evading the authorities by hanging on the outside of the trains side to avoid the electric conductors overhead while going to another car. The movie ends at a old farm were the guy is finally captured and taken in a red ambulance to the funny farm or Asylum for nuts.
I can't place it? But have a feeling this was a well known incidence of some sort this movie was based on from that time period. This being the 1970's UK.
The film was on a local channel some nights ago but I only caught about the last 15 minutes or so.
Anyone happen to have clue? The train was in BR blue and white and was EMU stock under the wires. Old style mk1 or mk2 type carriages.
