Weymouth – Bristol
These services also run as Weymouth-Gloucester, and there are also 158s on Worcester Foregate St - Bristol
ScotRail
Glasgow Queen Street – Oban / Mallaig
Glasgow Queen Street high level – Anniesland
Glasgow Central – Shotts – Edinburgh
Glasgow Queen Street – Dundee
Not sure if this is covered in the above, but worth noting the 1tpd each way that go Queen St High Level - Springburn - Low Level - Yoker - then onwards as normal (and same in reverse)

Times and routes vary throughout the week but here are today's examples
(I think this is the only case where you get a quadruple sprinter running in passenger service)

Thank you.
Scotrail
Glasgow Central - Dumfries - Carlisle
(Entirely Class 156)
I was largely going off of Wikipedia and double-checking on RTT; the former said Glasgow South Western and I forgot to check Dumfries as well as Stranraer.

I'm also trying to make some maps to go with the photos
I've now largely completed the maps (makes more sense viewing one layer at a time), keeping the criteria of at least one planned passenger service per week (including seasonal services). I've probably made some mistakes, but have:

In the Turbostar section under Northern you have:
Sheffield – Scarborough
Leeds – Harrogate – York
Being based near Hull, these also have a few moves that go between York and Hull, such as Saturday's 2R31 2045 York to Hull.

Obviously some changes will need to be made at timetable change time, but this is a nice project and one I would've potentially done if I had more time.

Not been there in 2026, but in 2025 some GWR Class 158s worked beyond Worcester as far as Great Malvern.

158762 ex Great Malvern is currently at Yate, according to RTT, with a varied timetable (and the once-a-day Malvern to Bristol ran with a 158 on 7 August without being a timetable variation, so I'll put it in).

In addition looking at the map:

Civities should be shown as via Warrington Central, e.g. 2O86 2247 Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:P24205/2026-08-18/detailed#allox_id=0
They also appear all day on separate Warrington-Oxford Road (peak time only), and all day Warrington-Liverpool.

Not sure exactly what's going on here, it looks like your line for Chester-Leeds goes via Golborne Jn instead of Earlestown.
The curve being covered is correct, but the line between Golborne Junction and Winwick Junction is not.
They also should be shown beyond Barrow to Corkickle.
E.g. today's 1C90 1229 Manchester Airport to Corkickle https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:G89072/2026-08-18/detailed#allox_id=0 which goes via Wigan North Western (some TPE 397s also take this route, e.g. these 5 https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/se.../0000-2359?stp=WVSC&show=all&order=wtt&toc=TP )
Blue line does a double reverse to take the wrong route via the WCML instead of going via Earlestown
I'll have a further look in the morning, this is a great project and it is absolutely useful!

Your filter list also calls the 175 the 178
"Alstom Coradia (178, 180, 334, 458) (18) "

And the Sprinter list mentions the Class 151, so I think the Coradia list should also list the 460 (personally I'd list neither, since neither are still in service, but it's your map, your choice)

Thanks again! I think brouter.de automatically takes the shortest route, ignoring speed and reversals, and I didn't check the line through Newton-le-Willows carefully enough.

The Northern Ellesmere Port service does not go via Runcorn, it goes via Earlestown (platform 3)
There are empty services that go via Runcorn, but none in passenger service.
And no clue why it goes slightly down the freight only line at Runcorn

Going back to the ones I'm missing rather than the map, today was a partial success. I got to Southport during an afternoon stretch of an hour and a half where all Northern services today were 769s. That cut the ones I'm missing down to thirteen, with the other one I'd hoped to get today, TfW Rail 230s, not visible, and I got caught in Merseyrail delays on the way.

Why on earth do they do that, rather than take the direct route through Maryhill?

A more productive visit to Cardiff than I'd expected means I'm down to seven, having got a TfW 150 shortly after arriving, a 756 and 231 to Caerphilly, and a GWR 166 from Cardiff to Bristol. I also saw a GWR 230 between Reading and Paddington (I think around Southall); I saw it by chance on the way west not expecting to see one and was sitting on the wrong side of the train to get a photo, but managed to get a video, knowing roughly where it was, on the way back.

I also saw a lime-green train which I couldn't identify in a siding to the north east of Swindon (attaching the picture isn't working). Edit: probably an ex-London Midland training unit.

As a thought coming from this project, it's interesting, if not particularly surprising, at how young the trains in the East of England are. The only services within the region it's possible to take with rolling stock built before 2000 are Rickmansworth – Chorleywood, Peterborough – Stansted Airport, Peterborough – Norwich and Bletchley – Bedford, and the small number of LNER IC225s calling at Stevenage and Peterborough. Moor Park / Rickmansworth – Chorleywood / Watford, the Abbey and Marston Vale lines are the only cases in the region where all passenger rolling stock is older than fifteen.

I initially thought the region with the oldest average rolling stock age would be the North East or Wales. Between 800-803s and Metrocars in the former and 197s and Stadlerisation in regional and south Valley Wales, I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of large recent amounts of newly built stock means the South West or Scotland has the oldest on average.

Having looked at Google Maps street view, a 175 was visible from outside Wolverton from the street, and I've been able to tick that off myself. That leaves me with TfW 230s, after two failed attempts, and five classes across Northern and ScotRail.

Best bet for the TfW 230 is probably a trip on Merseyrail passing Birkenhead depot, as there is usually at least 1 parked outside
I got unlucky on my last try, during the engineering works (still on until the bank holiday?); I think an even better bet might be trying to go to a station on the Borderlands Line. How common are substitions for 230s there?

I have a visit from Newcastle to Glasgow booked, which should get the 320s, 334s and 380s done, and one from Newcastle to Manchester (Denton) via a change at Doncaster which should tick off the 333s, so just the 155s and 230s which I don't have trips booked for.
