First up, does anyone have diagrams? Secondly, do they have drop down windows? And lastly, what are the guards like for window hanging?

August 2013 when I did it, it was a 67, had mk2 stock with drop down windows and if there was a guard, he didn't care!

In seriousness, there is much talk of a second diagram being introduced to cope with the loss of ScotRail DMUs to Southern, and the ones required to work the Borders Railway when it opens in September.

Can confirm the 17:20 is loco hauled - or at least it was when I was there! It ran VSTP to Motherwell TMD afterwards.

Few photos at https://www.flickr.com/photos/0causton0 [/plug] ;)

The guard (I think? I believe there were two possibly, perhaps the one I spoke to actually was an RPI or Ticket Examiner or something!) said "I don't mind you sticking your head out as long as you don't lean on the window while we're stopped, I keep thinking you want to open the door" compared to last time where the guard came down and shouted at me for taking a photo out the window, a much better experience! ;)
