Along the right lines ;)

However those re-fuleing facilities are in a siding that only connects to the mainline.

when I get my copy, I'm going to be making a route, for the classic steam trains, but diesels can run along it.

Route has progressed quite far so I'll ruin it for you all ;)

Damon, you were very close and Tom that's why im doing it in this way.

It's a branch based very loosely on the St Albans Abbey branch, in an area similar to Epping Forest.

Starting at a country terminus with sidings (and refueling facilities for diesel and steam trains).
After leaving the terminus you pass through a residential area and then delve straight into the forest. When the trees clear you are given a clear view of the preservation society's yard including sheds and turntable.
Fast services can speed through the first station, or stopper services can be looped into the platform. After re-joining the mainline you pass the crossover points to the heratige railway, (frequently used for excursions...), round the bend and enter they valleys, opening up to a 125mph speed limit - a perfect place to open up those valentas on the early morning commuter services.

Screenies to come in the next few days...

Perhaps, but the scream is vacant and anything other then leading engines in consists don't play the correct sounds at the correct times. As I said, many bugs, but still overall a great game.

Only the front PC makes noise, the rear (43000 in this case) just idles. Also, the rear of the 166 only powers up when braking but when you switch cabs and go the other way it plays along with the other two engines.

This bug has been identified and will be fixed in the upcoming official patch.

As for the screenies Dan, looking good! I like the line idea of scraping through the lineside veg(etation) ;)

Thanks :)

Haven't been able to work on it recently as I have been away/busy, but I am still working on it. Getting quite used to the editor. Will post some new screenies when another section is looking OK :)

The editor IS out, came with the game. Also, people are already hard at work at building routes and stock. 444 here is already mucking into what looks to be a great route! And someone on another forum completing a great 158.

So Daniel do you think Routes could be built in weeks rather than months Now!?, or if someone was actually trying to model a true to life route would that be just as time consuming as MSTS?

Depends on the quality as you said, if you want to model say the Midland Mainline in good detail, it would take you much longer than a small single track branch line. But after playing around a bit, its certainly easier and quicker than MSTS to build routes!
