You mean it'll stick out like a sore thumb, with etched windows, blocked toilets, but go like shi7 off a stick, rather unlike the rest of the FGW fleet.

Or SPM try and start the engines in the morning and all the pistons end up on the ballast, promptly followed by the fluid flywheel and gears.

I was thinking more of Tyseley pinching all the good bits off it before sending it down.
At least SPM should be able to rebuild it before it gets sent back (with the injector pumps turned down and the governer set at 1500rpm)

Just had a gander on AB Rail Database, & it's showing the following 150 units to be transferred to FGW:

150101, 102, 104, 106, 108, 122, 125, 126

I'm assuming that units will be transferred as the 172's come into service with LM?

I was wondering that. Didn't they split some 150 units up on Central Trains/LM, & make them up to 3-car units? Might explain the gaps in the 150 unit list. Trouble with AbRail is they don't list the individual car numbers, just the unit numbers. Database is updated to 17/07/10 btw.

The list on 'the junction' will show which units have been split to make up the 3 car sets...

103/105/107 are 003/005/007. They are three car units made up of a two car /1 and a /2
