For a couple of months I have been unable to purchase on-line via the FGW website. I get a message that my credit card has been declined, although I know that all is well.
It's not been too much of a problem as National Express are happy to take my plastic and send tickets for a FGW journey.
However I am missing out on the current FGW 10% discount offer.
So I rang FGW Customer Relations who referred me to 0870 333 1778 somewhere in the Sub Continent. A stroppy woman said that my credit card was the problem. She refused to give her name or a reference but assured me that a manager would contact me - via e-mail - within 24 hours. Well that was 5 days ago....
Has anyone else had this problem? How did you get things sorted?

My Grandad had issues buying tickets from NXEC with his credit card, so contacted his card issuer who said their systems had blocked the transaction due to the risk of fraud (it was over £100) as apparently the National Express ticketing system had been used for fraud quite a bit before. They said they'd remove the block for his account and when he tried again it went through no problems - so I'd suggest you contact your card issuer and see if a similar thing has happened to you.

Thanks for your help. CC company confirm no block or problem with them.
