Some technical fault, I heard, with the final summer Saturday service to Pembroke Dock (PMD). The train's progress on NRE was getting later and later until it was advertised as expected 13.14 into Carmarthen. (12.46 dep normally). At the station, the destination board showed Tenby instead of [stn]PMD[/stn]. No announcement was made saying the train was terminating at Tenby, just that it was running late. Sometimes when HST's develop problems they're caped at Swansea. But maybe that would cause chaos if everyone with luggage were forced off here. After all, the majority of tourists/passengers do disembark at Tenby.

I remember last year when they scrabbled that class 60 from Margam to resuce a hst and tow it from Tenby to Swansea.

I think it was more than 20 late leaving Paddington this morning, heard a dispatcher at Reading say "Pembrokes blown up" to a colleague. Maybe it wasn't so immediately doomed but its caught up!
