Evening.

I am just wondering how many High Density HST sets are there actually used by First Great Western?

and do they all stay on the London Paddington - Oxford & Hereford diagrams?

Thanks

Overall there are 34 diagrammed High Density sets each day, 16 of which are 8 cars, and 18 of which are 7 cars. The diagrams can be viewed here.

As you can see they don't stay on Oxford and Hereford services, they also visit Plymouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea and Cheltenham.

In practice there is much mixing between the High Density and Low Density sets anyway so both types can be found on any service. That can include the micro-buffet 2+7 sets running to Penzance.
