Hey all,

I'm a Guard for SWT and have been for the past 2 years.

I applied for FGW in May for trainee driver @ rdg

I passed my drivers assessments in February for SWT and at the moment, I'm currently waiting for my "database" checks to be complete before they send me interview dates.

Has anyone sat the CBI & DM Interviews on here? What're they like?

Also am I correct thinking that FGW has the same pass marks for the drivers assessment as SWT, seeing as its a network rail group standard assessment I wouldn't have thought it matters.. Just heard a few things from a couple of people, is all..

Do a search as there are hundreds of posts on the forum regarding FGW driver tests.

I've passed the assessments with south west trains.

And I have applied for fgw trainee driver, will I have to re-sit the assessments ?

What's the 2 interviews like ?

I am fully aware what the assessments are, just heard from a few people fgw have different pass marks..

FGW don't take borderline passes, and when I did my tests in March I was told they like to take those with the highest marks first and work down the list as the vacancies arise.

It isn't so much the pass marks but the demand and amount of applicants that get through to the interview that determines the pass mark. The more applicants the higher the pass mark for interviews.

I see, I hear First are looking a huge amount of Drivers..
Hopefully if I did score borderline they can take a blind eye to it.

I'm not qualified to answer this but I'd have thought that IF they wont accept a borderline pass, then they certainly wont turn a blind eye to it

First wont accept borderline passes at all, no chance of turning a blind eye I'm afraid. To be honest in this climate, you need a high pass in order to make it through.
