But it wouldn't be the first badly-named tour, after all The Cwm and Go can hardly be called that due to the lack of going to Cwmbargoed!

Amid all the froth and people getting numerous texts telling them 423 will work, maybe it is worth pointing out that '423 isn't 100% confirmed yet and it relies on there being no 'suitable' 20's available. That said, I shall be attending on the off chance.

I was tempted to popping up there on the off-chance myself as it's required here, but I have to allocate all my money to a trip on 'my' traction in March instead

Of course not! In any case, as somebody who really couldn't give a rat's @r5e about mileages, for me 37423 is completely pointless - as pointless as it was when it did the Cleethorpes effort!

What constitutes a 'suitable' class 20 then? Cant the northbound pair (or half of) just work back aswell, presume there is time for refuelling at Kingmoor if needed.

20s can come out of store almost instantly, all is needed is a bit of paperwork doing and hey presto, so thats no real problem. The word is 423 is needed for a saloon jobby, so would probably be ripped off at Crewe for a trip to Derby. Anyway, 37423 is common, even I have had it for haulage

I suspect if it is indeed a 37 it will stay on till Birmingham if not it would have to been a quick uncouple at Crewe.

To be honest guy's it doesn't matter how,why or even which tractor if it happens you will be genned up to the max by us on the tour so no worries eh.
And if the tour was booked for 20's then there will be a 20 on at all times as to not annoy the punters and there is defiantly enough available considering how many are in "Warm storage".
Anyways enough about them more about me so Coach C if you wanna come say hi and as always a laugh (yeah I not that funny at all).

Not nessecarily, if there are adverse whether conditions and its difficult to run trains, normal services will take priority. If it snows more id be doubtfull if it runs.

Right rather than this scaring the c##p out of everyone who paid for the tour just stay optimistic I mean come on the snow today is a hell of a lot lighter than has been previous days and is likely to back off now and being a Saturday there are more paths available than on a typical weekday also the traction itself is very capable the only possible problems can be of the OHLE kind but then again that's more of an everyday problem.
I intend to turn up tomorrow to Birmingham International and have an amazing day with the odd hiccup or two but on the whole it will run and if it does all fall apart please remind me about what I have just said.

I'm thinking of those that are travelling the Motorways to board the tour and in fear of losing there money if they get stuck etc.

Yeah true there are those who hate them but I think a stint of realisism is needed but yeah I must agree that some people don't want any change of loco at all.

And yeah glenn I don't have far at all to go which is lucky but that isn't always the case and I do find myself part of the group who have to travel far so I feel for them and they indeed are entitled to worry about if tomorrow will run.

Owch. so we defiantly which 20's we got and we know all is still running now we can get excited again.
It's cool being on the only public 20 tours in the last two years seen as though I did the wayfarer plus after that I couldn't get the whistling out of my head so bring on tomorrow.
