Felixstowe Docks and Siding Gradients

Does anybody know the gradients for Felixstowe Docks (north and south) at the terminals themselves please?

Are gradients for sidings and yards usually flat or are there limits to how steep a gradient can be?

They look flat too me. With that kind of intensive operation, I would assume any gradients would be actively discouraged.




Not totally flat.


The branches feeding it look/sound pretty steep.

The gradients approaching the docks are quite steep! I just don't know about the docks themselves.

My maps show 100/ 1320 down hill into Felixstowe South from Beach Junction

Trimley to Oysterbed shows 1547 to Level then Level 107 downhiill then 107 to 104 downhill

No gradients for the yards themselves but South terminal is slightly downhill until about the middle of the Creek sidings, North and Central Yards no major gradient really
