Felixstowe Branch unit diagrams

I have noticed over the last few weeks that the Felixstowe Branch has been treated to a class 156 over the usual 153. Can anyone confirm if this is a permanent change or just for the summer (I can't remember it being so last year)? Does anyone know where the "extra" unit has come from, given the stretched nature of the fleet?

Also, can anybody please confirm how the diagrams work for cycling the units via Crown Point as I can't work it out from RTT.

All of the GA unit diagrams were altered in anticipation of the FLIRTS and the various intermixing and unit swaps they will see.

The result is that the unit for the Felixstowe changes several times a day (3, maybe 4) and currently for some of those they are in 156 and 170 diagrams. Once the 755s are in use en masse then you'll probably not notice much as I guess most Felixstowes will be 755/3s.

As has been the case for a long long time now most unit rotations at Ipswich are done via the East Suffolk line but at least one 153 goes back to Norwich ECS around lunch time

Thank you for the information. I thought it might have been due to new diagrams but hadn't expected three or four to cycle on the branch in the day. Previously I think it's been one unit for most of the day.

Will be interesting to see which other routes are in the diagrams and if they cause any knock on issues, with delays elsewhere making their way on to the branch.

3-car 170 on my 0958 & 1058 Wednesday before it goes 1217 East Suffolk. All dmu diagrams where altered in the May TT change in readiness for 755 introduction.
