Feeds Feed Cross London Marker

I was going over some notes I have on the fares feed and I saw that for a flow fare record the Cross London Indicator has the following values:

‘0’ to indicate not via London,
‘1’ to indicate via London including Underground,
‘2’ to indicate via London excluding Underground,
‘3’ to indicate via Thameslink.

But for the non-derivable fares it is just a Y/N

Does anyone know why that is?

I don't know but it seems 2 corresponds to 'London Not Underground' and 3 to 'Via City Thameslink'. However I always thought that these fares were not available for Cross London transfers.

I guess the N for an NDF translates to 0 and Y translates to 1 + 3?

I haven't seen a fare with 3 for many years, certainly not since ATOC started releasing open data. In very old Avantix Traveller CDs it was there for some fares to/from places in South London. 3 still exists in some cases, e.g. for Reading to Hither Green: BR Fares shows it to you as the "Cross-London" parameter in the orange PRICE box when you click through to an individual fare: http://www.brfares.com/#faredetail?orig=RDG&dest=HGR&grpo=0403&rte=703&ldn=2&tkt=SDS

So I would say it is just N=0, Y=1, with no way of specifying 2 or 3. It's not unusual that it's impossible to describe something using non-derivable fares, e.g. they have no way of specifying the fare-setting TOC either.
