I understand that FCC pay approx 23k for a trainee driver then approx 44k for a qualified driver.
Does it jump to the higher amount as soon as you are qualified or is it staggered?

I have heard - it may have been here, that once qualified drivers are on probation at 80% of full pay for two years, before moving up to 100% pay.

Not sure, if indeed it's true, which TOC it was, or if it applied across all TOCs.

the day you qualify you go on full pay, no staggered pay increase.

Interesting, so not only does the pay vary across TOCs, (obviously!), but the way in which it builds up is too. Assuming I'm not mad and didn't imagine the part about 80% on probation of course.

Like you say, it depends. I think quite a few are staggered but FCC is one that isn't.

Mkwhite, I seem to remember that you were in the same position as me, awaiting a start date/medical with FCC. Any news yet?

Good for you! When did they contact you and have you had the medical? I've heard nothing yet.
