I tried to buy a FCC only Super Off Peak Day Travelcard from the ticket machine at Three Bridges this morning but no FCC only tickets were available. Luckily the ticket office had just opened and I was able to buy it from there. Apparently, they have removed FCC only tickets from ticket machines because of the 'level of service'.
Does this apply to other stations where FCC only tickets are available? (Presumably all stations between Three Bridges and Brighton).
The obvious effect of removing FCC only tickets is that Southern get more money. Given that the ticket machines are run by Southern are they acting illegally? It is particularly important that all fares are available from the ticket machines as it is a Penalty Fare area and there is no longer a Permit to Travel machine there.
