Hi all. Just wondering on the progress of your applications for anyone that applied for the above positions which closed on 27th March? I was sucessful with the Online Assessments and am waiting to hear what the next step is. There is some great info on other forums about the testing but am not looking forward to the MMI if I even get that far. Good luck to all that are in the same position as me. I will post updates as I go through the process

I did well in the first online assessment but boxes kept appearing during the timed test which made it impossible for me to input my answers in time. I emailed FCC regarding the problems I had with their assessment and was told that I could not retake the test as it would be unfair to other candidates.

So nevermind how unfair it was to me, given the time I put into applying! Overall I feel like thinking twice about applying to FCC again given the short shift response I got to what was essentially a problem their end. My understanding regarding recruitment is that it should be equal and my experience certainly didn't feel like I was getting a fair go. Personally, I find it a cop out by companies who email out online tests for jobs - we've all experienced the dreaded Microsoft spinning circle of death at unwanted moments yet FCC refuse to take into account any IT errors - even when its a probem their end!

As a consequence I cannot apply for a similar position for six months. Thanks FCC. Given that my application looked pretty strong until the IT issues I feel like saying 'its your loss!". My friend is an instructor who has worked in recruitment for a number of years, has been a driver manager and even helped set up a TOC is even dumbstruck by this!

Ce la vie......

Sorry to hear that you had problems Baldieman. Hope you are successful in future applications mate. In relation to you saying you cannot apply for another position, I think that may only be for First Group TOCs as First have a central HR in Aberdeen so I am led to believe from posts in other forums, but you should still be able to apply for TOCs not run by First i.e. East Coast, Southern etc. Just depends on where you live. You will only be exempt from applying to all TOCs if you make it through to the selection centre and fail 1 of the tests there.

Good luck anyway.

Has anyone been contacted since being emailed saying congratulations on passing the online assessments? Its been almost a week since I received the email and hoping they aren't wittling the applications even further. Can anyone advise :?
