FCC Emergency timetable

Arrived at New Southgate today at 06:27 after checking FCC website.
Emergency Timetable in use - trains from New Southgate to Moorgate 06 and 36 mins past.

Platform 1
The CIS showed 07:28 Kings Cross On time.
some passengers on the platform miss read this to be a few mins wait, then someone said hold on that's 1 hour wait.

Someone pressed the information button and got info that next train is at 06:36

06:45 and no train.
So someone else presses information button - told next train is at 07:06 but asked what happened to the 06:36 - no information unable to tell she said.

Seems National Rail Eq are not able to track trains running on the emergency timetable.

Is there anyway to tell if a train is actually running and has left WGC (status of train)

Note: Train did come but very late 07:01 or was it 5 mins early.
Temperature outside was -2c waiting 32 mins.

I would try http://wap.jcheck.com/fcc it sometimes shows better information than the display boards at FCC stations!

Key word there: "Sometimes"

The problem is that things often change too quickly to be reflected on the screens, National Rail website and elsewhere. Where an emergency timetable has been properly planned and implemented the CIS can be programmed to reflect this, but when you get exceptional conditions, such as those on Monday, short-notice cancellations occur and it just isnt possible to show these in real-time.

Yes, I realised that when I was checking earlier, FCC had removed live departures from its site completely as the wrong train details were still in there -- went to NRE and some trains were showing as something like 31 mins EARLY and a lot of duplicates/cancelled. So yeah... unfortunately I don't think the system will be made better any time soon. And for the money to make it perfect they could solve a lot more important problems!

I've just tried downloading this to see what it is but haven't been able to open it. I'm asked to choose the program I want to use to open the file, but nothing I have selected works other than if I select Internet Explorer I get a load of gobbledegook text. Any ideas, or is it not working because there's no trains till Monday morning?

It's not working because it's not meant to be opened on computers If you can get on the internet on your mobile, go to the link on there and it should work

Opera can open WAP pages, but most other browsers cannot. You must go through many more pages of plain text with the wap one, so any modern phone can happily use the pda version.
