FCC Corporate Induction

I am due to attend my induction with FCC, I was wondering if anybody could tell me a little of what to expect over the three days that I attend. Also does anyone know what or where the service delivery centre is (SDC)

sdc = service delivery centre, there are two on the tl route one in west hampstead signal box and the other in east croydon, i believe there is only one on the gn side and this is at kings cross, the are responsible for trains running, stock alterations after failures , disruption planning and that sort off thing.


the three day induction introduces you to the company and first, telling you about there values and responsibillities, sorting out your staff travel passes, uniform , pay, and so forth.

You're on the ball there, yes there is indeed only the one GN SDC which is in the same room as the Kings Cross signallers.

You can't miss it as it's in the grey extension to the PSB as you come into Kings Cross.

I received my temporary travel card yesterday and think its so cool that I can travel to any FCC station, even though I havent started working yet!

What's even better is the gentleman's agreement between First colleagues, you will be surprised how much travel you can do with First providing you have your ID and ask before boarding.

For all the faults of management, First staff benefits are probably the best you're going to get outside of being a former BR employee.
