Any one here knows if the FCC 321's have a fixed diagram?

In addition to that: how much is the chance of seeing a FCC-liveried 321 together with a Silverlink-liveried set?

Yes they do, they have a diagram which takes them to Cambridge once but the majority of the work is to and from Peterborough/Huntingdon - I added Huntingdon as a separate location as there's a peak service in the evening which terminates there and starts back from there.

In addition to that: how much is the chance of seeing a FCC-liveried 321 together with a Silverlink-liveried set?

I have no idea on that one, sorry It's just depends on the Fleet Planners at Hornsey and what units they want to form what service.

I know the 0621 from Peterborough in the morning has to be formed of the refurbished 321s as that's the flagship service that we're running to show off the 321s on which is what I got told at work.

Our 'flagship' is abit of a mess lately.

an 8-coach service usually formed of a silverlink & FCC liveried pair of 321s normally overtakes me northbound near Brookmans Park approx 17:05, so I assume this is a Peterborough service leaving KX just after 16:50

A 4-coach Silverlink livery unit has been operating the 06:52 Kings Cross-Cambridge service recently - I see this unit on the junction at Hitchin most mornings at approx 07:24.

If I get the 0902 Hatfield (well Hitchin I think it starts from) > KGX then before I arrive at Finsbury Park, two 8-car 321 sets will pass northbound.. possibly going back to the depot? That is the case every day I've been on the train so I guess they're pretty much a certainty.

The 0924 Hatfield > KGX service is no longer a 365 and seems to vary between a 321 or a 317. The 321 is not FCC liveried, but it did have FCC seating - but not painted hand rails. New carpet and flooring too.

They're okay trains, but nothing special and I wouldn't be exactly wanting to show them off! They don't even have working displays at the front/rear of the train to say where they're going, no CCTV and no internal displays at all!

My 1413 at Stevenage which used to be a 8 car 365 is now diagrammed as a 4 car 321 but I don't mind...

With the destination screens on the front and rear of the train, well I suppose the units are waiting for a update to be applied to them , probably all have the London Midland destinations on them still!

The 317s got their screens fitted months and months before they were enabled. I remember Elaine Holt saying they had to order the software (Wagn had fitted the screens before FCC took over) and I think it was about six-months or more before they did anything at all. And, for a long time they were used as nothing more than a clock - albeit a very accurate one (presumably set via GPS).

Goodness knows why the 365s were never fitted with CCTV, or the 319s come to think of it.

I had a look at 405 today and it's the flip-dot style, I don't know if that's going to stay or if if they are going to get upgraded to the ones like the 317s or the 365s have...

Yes it is flip-dot. Took a photo at Finsbury Park earlier before realising that it said Welwyn Garden City on it, and that it was my train! Doors shut and off it went with me still standing on the platform!

Don't worry it happened to me too - I was at Moorgate when the last train ran and was talking to my MD when the doors closed with me still on the platform!

Still I got told I was doing really well in inter company relations by having a open invite for rail staff to pop down and enjoy refreshments and to keep at it plus she got a long outstanding issue sorted as well.

Was that the software you needed? I wonder if Elaine is still living in Old Street or has moved - anyone heard where she's ended up (if anywhere)?

I've heard countless rumours on her whereabouts or what she's doing so sorry have no idea although one popular one is she took a job with South Eastern.
