I'm sure we've had this thread before back in the mists of time no matter, what is your favourite radio station, mine is BBC Radio Berkshire, they played some good stuff tonight like the Who and David Bowie. None of that BBC Radio 1 or 1xtra crap.

Hardly ever listen to the radio but when I do its normal Radio 5 Live or Radio 4 LW (for the cricket). Sometimes listen to Radio 1 or Galaxy when I'm driving.

Never radio 1 in a million years.
Radio 2 is alright, though I'm not keen on Chris Evans, and I hate Steve Wright.
I'm not too keen on Radio 4 either, too much Leftist Beeb rubbish floating around in their interviews and news.
Radio 5 Live and Sports extra are probably my faves, non-stop sport all weekends, and some good shows!

I've always liked Capital FM (the proper one, not the national rubbish).

Radio 4 for comedy, Radio 2 for music - particularly Radcliffe & Marconi, Chris Evans and Wogan.

Monday to Friday I listen to Radio 2 until 7pm (or 6.30pm at the moment as Great British Railway Journeys is on!) I like all DJs during the daytime, but think Steve Wright is the best. I used to love Sarah Kennedy who used to do the 5am-7am slot and early mornings aren't the same without her! I turn off after 7pm and weekends as I don't like the music they play, except on Sunday mornings Steve Wright Sunday Love Songs and Weekend Wogan/Michael Ball's Sunday Brunch.

Mostly Radio 7 on iPlayer, with some Radio 4, and a bit of 6 Music as well.
In the car, Radio 4, sometimes Radio 2, but mostly the music on my phone now I have a tape with a jack in the car.

Nothing to beat Ray Moore on Radio 2, years back.

http://www.radiocafe.co.uk/ray-moore

He beats these modern so called DJs who seem to need to have a studio full of themselves as they don't have the talent or the personality to run a radio show solo.

Incredibly when I was home for Christmas, I heard one young breakfast show radio tartlett proclaim she had never heard of Yes (the group) Ye Gods, it says it all !

I miss Bunty Bagshaw as well :)

Yes as in the prog rock band? If so, disrgraceful. Their song Roundabout is one of the greatest ever written, now too many shows seem to feature pop, R n' B etc repeated to death. Sad.

I will have to say that Jeremy Vine is excellent, other than that I would struggle to name a good DJ.

I don't know, I have to say, If I'm in bed on a day off I usually dread Jeremy Vine - When I want current affairs I'll listen to Radio 4. Having a load of topical stuff on 2 just gets in the way of the music/light entertainment.

I like Jeremy Vine, but I haven't heard the show since Sept as I've either been at work or on a day off been elsewhere!

Heart is my favourite radio station. I also quite like Magic if my wife insists on having it on in the car.

I like Jeremy Vine too, they actually found someone decent to replace Jimmy Young when he retired. Radio 2 is my choice of a national station, still like Steve Wright but miss all the old characters he had on Radio 1 like Mr Angry.

I go for BBC 6 Music for choice, with occasional forays to Absolute.
Normally Radio Five Live in the car, unless it's the right time for Simon Mayo on Radio 2 or Today on Radio 4, and rarely talkSPORT or BBC London, if that's the only place I know I'll hear the West Ham match.
Someone at work put BFBS on the digital radio the other week and it was pretty good.

I can't have the radio on if Vine is on- I don't like being shouted at!

I used to have Radio 2 on most the day and all night! Really liked what Jim Moir put together when he was controller.

Sarah Kennedy, Wogan, Ken Brice, Sir Jimmy Young, Steve Wright, Johnnie Walker.
Then back on again for Janice Long, Alex Lester and back to the start again!
At some point during that I'd fall asleep!

Now more half of them have gone and their replacements aren't as good.

I'm getting too old and grumpy for Radio 2.

Mostly a mixture of Radio 4 (current affairs and comedy), 6 Music and (especially) Planet Rock for blowing the dust out from the more obscure corners of my brain.

Gotta love the Planet Rock jingles - completely barking mad, and very, very funny.

Over Christmas Radio 2 got a bit of a look in as they had a couple of Kenny Everett shows on and Craig Charles standing in for Steve Wright (who just grates on me almost as badly as Chris Evans; sorry!). Once R2 returned to its normal schedule in the New Year the tuning dial went firmly back in the direction of Alice Cooper & Co...

In no particular order; Kiss 105-108, Heart 102.4, BBC Radio 1.

It depends on where I am and when I am listening to the radio!
