As the Train Driver thiingy wasn't a big hit, i thought this would be more interesting.

List your favourite Diesel Loco's and say what today's/past livery you like them in and also a section on what class of loco you would like to see in a certain livery (E.G. 37 - Freightliner Green)

My Favourites Today/Past:

20 - DRS
31 - 601 in Pink, is that Mainline Rail?
37 - BR Large Logo
50 - BR Blue
55 - Porterbrook Purple
56 - Jarvis Fastline
59 - ARC Yellow with the nice Head/Tail lights
60 - EWS Red/Gold
66 - 411 Stobart
86 - FreightLiner Green
87 - Network SouthEast
90 - One Railway
92 - EWS Red/Gold

Class I Would Like To See Wear:

20 - GBRf Mendite
31 - DRS
37 - Freightliner Green/GBRf Barbie
50 - Loadhaul
55 - Freightliner Green
56 - Porterbrook Purple
59 - Virgin Thunderbird
60 - DRS
66 - Network SouthEast
87 - FGBRf Barbie
90 - NR Yellow
92 - Freightliner Green

Best Looking Loco's

37/40 - Like the long noses on them
66 - Just think there nice to look at
92 - Same as 66 reason

What's yours?

A 50 in loadhaul is going to be a reality soon 50035 is supposed to be getting this livery

50135 you mean ;)

A 37 in Sector Petroleum livery is my favourate, maybe 37888 'Petrolea' (Where's the hellfire emotion?:()

For locos I'd like to see in a livery, would have to be a 40 in BR Large Logo, oh, wait a sec :lol::lol:

I would have chosen Class 37 with Railfreight Coal sector, but I cannot find a record of working any such loco

Favourite diesel loco? Take a guess...:p

And I'd love to see any of them in BR Black and Yellow.

As for other diesels, I do enjoy 37s, 40s and 50s. Out of all of the liveries, I'd like to see a LoadHaul 37 again (only saw it once), navy FGW livery on a 40 and the old Virgin livery on a 50.:D

EWS 37s and 92s are my favourite locos (I am aware that the last one is electric!) and I love the 90s in FSR livery too.

I'd like to see some 67s in FSR livery, for the sleepers.

My favourite Locos are only ones I have seen.....Hopefully I haven't gone off topic. It's just for seeing them and not the way they are painted.

24081 @ Willesden in 1981
44005 @ Stoke on Trent in 1979
Any class 20.
84003 @ Willesden in the late 70's.

Behind 55007 on the way to York in the late 70's.
Behind Class 45's to and from Derby in the mid 70's to the early 80's.
89001 @ Euston although I didn't get a pic.
A class 40 @ Liverpool Street although I wasn't rostered to get under and uncouple it.

87015 RIP
No, its not diesel but it is my 'pet' loco. Fav diesel is a 25 then other small sulzers, 40s and the rest follows behind at various distances.

Fav diesel Loco's:
1st-Class 47's (large logo blue).
2nd-Class 56's (Railfrieght grey with redstripe Just like 56019 My personal fav now RIP but survived till the end in this livery).
3rd-Class 37's (Large Logo blue,highland tat added).
4th-Class 20's (Grimey faded rail blue).
5th-Class 08's (Grimey faded paint worn through rail blue)

There ya go proper loco's not a skip or shed in sight...Yay!

All these remind me of when I joined the railway & the years before. None of this "make your rolling stock look like a colour blind tart" effect that all these TOC's do these days. Honestly somedays driving around the network it looks as if all the other trains have been made with lego or something.

Very hard question/s for me.

But, to be honest, anything which is different! things like the corus 37, and the NSE 87.

I would like to see a pair of choppers in anglia livery.
