I find him a poor man's Tim Vine I'm afarid. In addition to his relatively unfunny 'jokes', his timing is quite poor and his constant bewildered nature wears thin after a while. Tim Vine and Stewart Francis are undesputed kings of one-line comedy for me, Milton Jones isn't fit to be on the same stage as them. Back when I used to watch Mock the Week, I had to turn it off if Milton was on (despite whoever else was also on), he ruined the episode for me.

And yet, as an avid fan of the one-liner, I find Stewart Francis very boring, stilted and painfully unfunny. Just goes to show.

I like Miranda Hart very much. Of the modern day Comedians, she is the only one I understand both by voice and content.

The team of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. Still wonderfully funny after 40 years on Radio 4. If you have never heard it beause it's on :eek:RADIO 4:eek: then I'd advise you to GET A LIFE! and laugh.

Jethro: If you don't understand him, I do. I don't understand all these Scoucers, Mancunians and Geordies without subtitles, so Jethro is my revenge.

There a few comedians I rate very highly

One comedian not mentioned is the late, great Dave Allen ("Thank you, and may your God go with you"). I saw him and Billy Connolly the same week at the Edinburgh Playhouse. Allen won by a country mile.
Jasper Carrott (or Bob Davis, as his mum knew him) was also damned good, but his Golden Balls didn't do him any favours.
Spike Milligan was always good when he was being interviewed - the BBC should put together on DVD all his interviews with Parkinson -they were classic. I couldn't fully get into Milligan's Q series' - they were too surreal for me.
