The North Berwicks have been using 380s for a while now.

Non-IC EMU: Probably 5-WES, but if you count disused stock the 3-CIG 'Freshwater' on the Lymington branch was very nice.
Intercity: INTERCITY 125 and INTERCITY 225, both very good looking, depending on livery.
Buses: Richard Bros' TrawsCambria Optare Tempo X1260s (YJ55BKE and YJ55BKF)

The North Berwicks have been using 380s for a while now.

True, I think I just missed one at Kingsknowe as I was driving down that way the other day. But for the most part, they are out West at the moment.

Hopefully once the Falkirk High line is Electrified we'll be seeing 380s on that route.

I experienced my 1st 323 today, and I agree with you that they are ghastly things, no better than the grotty GA 321/3s.

DMU: 156. Or the Blue Pullman units and 124s if we go back in time a bit. It's a crying shame that examples of neither were preserved.

The Northern 323s are a good deal ropier than the London Midland examples. Other than for an unfortunate lack of TLC, I think they're fabulous trains!

I have never been on an LM 323 or a refurbished Northern one, so maybe I was just unlucky with the one I got. :P
