Not quite; it was a charter though - the one to view the Hale Bopp Comet that was filmed for the BBC's "Airport" documentary. Up and back, so no need for inbound checks after landing.
Landed on 27R and quite by chance drew up at the gate nearest to the entrance to Heathrow 1,2,3. I didn't even rush off it - I was having a quick word with the operator ( the late Captain Douglas Ord ) at the door as I disembarked.
Didn't even cost me anything - I had a freebie as the idea for the charter ( which was their most successful one ever with two flights each out of Heathrow and Ringway ) was mine...
